Happy Hanukkah! Tonight at Hermione's dinner time our little family will light our favorite elephant menorah,open a few small presents, and eat my Sweet Potato Latkes. While neither Doug nor I are particularly religious, we are making a big effort to raise Hermione with the traditions and celebrations of our parents. Minus the G-- parts. Our own version of the Hannukah blessing goes like this :
Blessed is the time of our celebration, time of light for hope in the world.
May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
We then sing this song we learned at Hermione's baby and me yoga class when she was itty bitty.
