Summer Makeup Simplified
Since becoming a mom my daily beauty routine has been significantly paired down. I don't have the time ( or desire) anymore to spend an hour getting ready for the day. As I get older and more comfortable in my own skin I also find myself more drawn to a natural look rather than looking like I just stepped off a photo shoot. In the summer I edit my makeup routine down even further. I spend most of my time outdoors at the pool or the beach so there is really no need to ever "put my face on." While I am not comfortable leaving home completely bare face I have perfect a two minute summer makeup routine that makes me feel put together without being "done."
I have been a huge fan out Beautycounter since it launched. Their products now ranging from skin care to color cosmetics are completely safe and non-toxic while still being effective and beautifully packaged. I love how transparent Beautycounter is about their ingredients and how extensive their "Never List" is.
For summer I am loving Beautycounter's new Dew Skin, Color Pinch Cream Blusher, and Lip Gloss to help me get a fresh glow.
I start with a tiny amount of Dew Skin all over my face. This product is really the perfect glowy, dewy, tinted moisturizer with an SPF 20 so I feel good about wearing it all day long.
Next I dab a little Color Pinch Cream Blusher in Hibiscus onto my cheeks and gently pat it in to blend.
I finish off with a few swipes of the Lip Gloss in Peony. Recently Hermione has insisted on doing that step for me! Beautycounter products are so safe I don't have to worry that Hermione insists on playing with them and helping me do my makeup!
My only problem is how quickly I go through lip gloss with this little one around!
