A Moose Could Make This Mousse!
My husband spent part of college in Paris. As a result his favorite dessert is still Mousse au Chocolat. Even a true aficionado like him enjoys this super simple, super clean version. The result is so rich and delicious he almost can’t finish a whole serving. Almost.
A Moose Could Make This Mousse!
- 1 3 ounce bar of dark chocolate- 70% or higher cocoa content
- 1/3cup water plus extra for mixing
- liquid stevia to taste
- In a sauce pan combine 1/3 cup of water and the entire bar of chocolate. Stir slowly on low heat until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and add a few drops of stevia until desired sweetness is achieved.
- Transfer to a mixing bowl and place in refrigerator to cool.
- Once cooled whisk or stir with a little additional water to achieve a rich mousse like texture texture.
- Transfer to small bowls or ramekins and serve or store in refrigerator.
I like to experiment with different types of dark chocolate. My most recent favorite is dark chocolate with sea salt. Perfection.
