Getting Crafty

We are lucky to live in a neighborhood with just about every  kids activity within walking distance. We have three playgrounds. We have multiple dance studios. We have several options for swim classes. The only thing we didn't have until recently was a place for drop in craft projects and art classes. Enter The Craft Studio a.k.a Hermione's newest obsession.

Recently the Craft Studio opened up their second location (they have one on the UES) just a block from us! From ceramics to paint, to stuffed animals to wardrobe, to guitars to embellish if your mini can think it The Craft Studio can make it happen! Hermione and I often stop in on a weekend or on our way home from school to do a quick project. They also have wonderful drop in classes for kids of all ages. Portia particularly loves their Toddler class.

A few weeks ago I hosted a DIY Spa party for moms and their minis at The Craft Studio. Everyone had tons of fun making lemon and watermelon scented bath bombs, lip balm and body scrubs. I had Watermelon Road come to provide snacks to fuel our little artists. It was a really fun way to spend a Friday afternoon with friends! Of course after making her body products Hermione defected to the painting station to paint yet another "treasure box" for all her jewels. Hey, she knows what she likes!
