Where We Are Eating, Drinking and Dancing Right Now
We have been back in NYC for a month now and I am loving the energy in my city. Even compared to when we left for upstate at the end of June, everything feels really alive and happy. More and more businesses have opened back up. More friends have come back. Here are some of my NYC favorite spots right now from restaurants to kids activities and parks!
Restaurants
All of the outdoor dining has made NYC feel a little bit like Europe. I have been loving eating outside on a beautiful night. So many of the restaurants have elaborate, dreamy setups that reach far beyond just a few tables in the bike lane. I am loving Locanda Verde and Malaparte for rustic Italian. For incredible views on the water I love The Fulton.
Self Care
Let's face it after last spring we could all use a little (safe) self care. I have been going back to my beloved WTHN for Acupuncture and it has helped me stay calm and centered. For completely safe manicures. and pedicures I am loving both Plaza M Spa and Mellow Bar (new and so adorable).
Kid Activities
With school schedules being a bit abnormal this fall I have been looking for fun extracurricular activities to round out the days. Both girls have been loving painting outdoors at The Craft Studio (we feel safe indoors as well). Hermione has been taking weekly fashion design classes at The Fashion Squad School and designed me the most incredible dress for my birthday! Both girls are also back to taking classes at Downtown Dance Factory and Dance With Miss Rachel (Hermione is in their Broadway Company). All the safety measures in place are wonderful and it makes me so happy to see them dancing again!
Exercise
Many many months of running or doing an app based workout in your bedroom can get a bit tiring right? Luckily some of my favorite fitness spots are thinking of creative and safe ways to work out together IRL. SoulCycle has outdoor classes right now and the views from they TriBeCa Rooftop site cannot be beat.
