Best New Summer Accessory for Kids

Summertime means lots of time playing outside. From NYC playgrounds to our backyard or hiking upstate my kids will be spending the majority of the next 2.5 months running around outdoors. All that outdoor time inevitably means a few falls and scraped knees. And lots of little cuts. And bug bites they scratch til the bleed (yup). Even the tiniest accident can leave my slightly dramatic girls screaming and crying for mommy. Usually, gathering them into my arms and kissing whatever part of them hurts is enough to calm them down. Not always.

When my mommy magic doesn’t work I have a new solution! Welly Bravery Badges! These new fabric bandages come in adorable patterns (rainbows! unicorns! flowers! ) and don’t hurt coming off. I love that they seal on all four sides so no dirt or grime gets into their cut and scrapes. The girls love picking out their patterns and putting them on themselves. Welly bandages are so cute the girls have even been sporting them when they are boo boo free- their new favorite summer accessory!

P.S. The metal tins they come in will totally be reused to house tiny treasures, hair clips, snacks etc. I love low waste products that can be repurposed!
