My Summer Reading List
It’s no secret I am a major book worm. I am never without a hard cover ( yes I refuse to read e-books or paperback) in my bag and take every spare moment I have to read. Summer is my absolute favorite time to read. As a child I always finished my assigned summer reading list my mid July and was constantly at the local bookstore scouring the shelves for my next read. As an adult I love summer reading just as much. I read by the pool while the girls are swimming, at the barn while Hermione has a riding session, and long to get into bed with a good book ( and good air conditioning) after a long, hot day in the sun. Here is what is on my summer reading list this year:
An American saga following generations of two families, one white, one black.
An exploration of marriage, sex and dating through the eyes of a man who’s ex has recently disappeared and left him with their children.
A love story set in the 1940’s New York theater scene.
A women living by her own rules and the rural community struggling to understand her.
A much anticipated novel about two boys sentenced to a hellish reform school in Jim Crow-era Florida.
A look at desire through the eyes of three American women, based on nearly a decade of reporting.
