In the summer months I am outdoors almost all day, constantly active, going from a run to a swim with the girls to a horseback riding lesson. I rarely shower before the end of the day and even more rarely have time or the desire to do my hair and makeup. I find it deeply liberating to sport a natural, undone look in the summer and pack away my hot styling tools and makeup until September! In order to achieve that “natural, effortless” look I rely heavily on a few key products to keep my skin and hair healthy, glowing and strong. Here is what I am shopping for effortless summer beauty:

Sunday Riley Good Genes

I use this lactic acid treatment nightly to exfoliate my skin and even my complexion.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

I use this retinol infused oil in lieu of moisturizer each night and always wakes up with fresh, radiant looking skin.

Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum

My favorite sunscreen for daily use. It goes on super light and smooth, protects my skin and leaves it looking dewy.

Beautycounter Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Stick

At the beginning of each summer I buy several of these sticks. I keep one in each kid’s backpack, one on the kitchen counter at home, one in my bag. They are perfect for on the go application and I love knowing that Hermione can reapply on herself easily while at camp.

Briogio Scalp Revival charcoal + coconut micro-exfoliating shampoo

I use this shampoo once a week to rid my hair of chlorine and product buildup. Bonus, it smells heavenly!

Ouai Wave Spray

I give my blow drier and curling iron a break in the summer and let my wavy hair air dry. This wave spray gives me really nice, undone texture and doesn’t dry my hair out.
